TERMS & CONDITIONS

This IKEA FAMILY & CAROUSELL REWARDS PROGRAMME (“Promotion”) is organised by Ikano Pte Ltd (“IKEA”) and Carousell Pte. Ltd (“CAROUSELL”). By participating in this Promotion, each Participant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions below. Eligibility

  1. The Promotion is valid from 0000hrs, 22 July 2022 to 2359hrs, 22 October 2022, both dates inclusive (“Promotion period”).

Successful Order Reward

  1. In order to qualify as a Seller in this Promotion, the following requirements must be satisfied during the Promotion Period:
    1. The Participant shall have an IKEA Family membership account that is registered in Singapore;
    2. The Participant shall have a Carousell account in Singapore.
    3. Only secondhand Carousell Protection-enabled listing(s) of IKEA product(s) and the word "IKEA" in the listing title on Carousell Singapore will qualify. Carousell and IKEA retain the right to reject any product listing that is not eligible; and
    4. Only successful order(s) for secondhand Carousell Protection-enabled IKEA listing(s) of IKEA product(s) whereby payment is made via Carousell Protection are eligible. In order for the orders to deemed as successful by Carousell, the buyer(s) must mark the order as complete by tapping on 'Order received' on Carousell.
  2. Only transactions that meet the aforementioned requirements under Clauses 1 & 2 qualify as a successful order (“Successful Order”). Carousell and IKEA reserves the right to determine the eligibility of each Successful Order and refuse the provision and/or utilisation of the Successful Order Reward if they reasonably believe that the Successful Order is in breach of the terms and conditions of the Campaign, unauthorised, fraudulent or otherwise unlawful.
  3. For every Successful Order made, Seller will receive a Carousell's in-app chat function message with a Google Form from Carousell within 30 days after a Successful Order has been made. To redeem the Successful Order Reward, Seller must fill in and submit the online Google form with his/her a valid IKEA Family membership ID via Carousell’s in-app chat function within 7 days of receiving the message from Carousell. Upon submission of online google form communicated by Carousell via in-app chat function within 7 days of receiving the message, IKEA Family membership points will be issued to the Seller’s IKEA Family account within 2 weeks.
  4. Subject to Clauses 1 to 4, a Seller will receive 500 IKEA Family points for each Successful Order, and the Seller will only receive the Successful Order Reward for a maximum of 3 Successful Orders per month per Carousell account and IKEA Family membership
  5. The IKEA Family points will expire 2 years later on 31 Dec from the year in which the IKEA Family points are issued. IKEA Family points that are not redeemed within the validity period will automatically be forfeited without liability to the Seller.

Listing Reward

  1. In order for a Carousell listing to qualify for this Promotion, the following requirements must be satisfied during the Promotion Period:
    1. The Participant shall have a Carousell account in Singapore.
    2. Only secondhand Carousell Protection-enabled listing(s) of IKEA product(s) and the word "IKEA" in the listing title on Carousell Singapore will qualify. Carousell and IKEA retain the right to reject any product listing that is not eligible;
    3. Only secondhand Carousell Protection-enabled IKEA listing(s) of IKEA product(s) created and are not deleted or suspended within 24 hours of posting on Carousell Singapore. Any Carousell Protection listings that were (a) previously posted but reposted, and (b) deleted or suspended within 24 hours of being posted are not eligible for this Promotion.
  2. Only listings that meet the aforementioned requirements under Clause 7 qualify as a successful listing (“Successful Listing”). Each Seller is only entitled to the Listing Reward for a maximum of 1 Successful Listing per month during the Promotion Period per Carousell account. Only first 300 users per month are eligible. Listings have to be in the listed in the categories of furniture such as sofa, bed frames and mattresses, tables and sets, chairs, shelves, cabinets, ranks and outdoor furniture.
  3. Subject to Clause 8, for each Successful Listing, the seller will receive SGD 5 Carousell Protection promo code that will be sent to the email that is registered with Carousell within 30 days from which the order was made. Each Carousell Protection promo code shall be valid for 30 days from the date of issue and may only be used for the next Carousell Protection order, for a one-time usage only. Carousell Protection promo code not redeemed within the validity period will automatically be forfeited without liability to the Buyer.

General

  1. Carousell and IKEA reserve the right to cancel any orders/rewards if fraud or similar activity is suspected with respect to any transactions made on Carousell. This includes redemption abuse, including redemption using multiple Carousell and/or IKEA accounts or multiple purchases associated with the same customer or group of customers.
  2. All Participants shall ensure that the mobile number and email address that are registered with Carousell and/or IKEA Family membership account are up to date before the commencement of the Promotion.
  3. Any cancelled or refunded Successful Orders will not be eligible for the rewards.
  4. Carousell and IKEA shall not be responsible for any delays, delivery failures, damages, or losses resulting from the use of any shipping services offered under Carousell Protection.
  5. Participants understand Carousell is a marketplace platform and IKEA shall not be responsible or held liable for loss or damage suffered or incurred by or in connection with any IKEA product listing.   6. Carousell and IKEA may vary these terms, suspend and/or terminate the Promotion without any notice or liability to any party.
  7. All rewards under the Promotion are not replaceable, transferable, or exchangeable.
  8. Carousell and IKEA reserves the right to substitute or replace any rewards issued under the Promotion with any other rewards of similar value without prior notice, without liability to the eligible Listing and Sellers.

Successful order reward: For every successful Carousell Protection order of a secondhand IKEA listing on Carousell Singapore, seller who are IKEA Family members will receive $5 worth of IKEA Family points (500 IKEA Family points), capped up to 3 successful orders per month.

Overall Rewards Programme

  1. What is the Carousell x IKEA Rewards Programme?

    In collaboration, Carousell & IKEA have come together to launch a Rewards Programme to reward users who take part in the circular economy. Since our initial launch, we have improved our rewards and the new rewards programme is now valid between 0000hrs, 22 July 2022 to 2359hrs, 22 October 2022 (both dates inclusive).

    Here are the 2 types of reward you can earn through this Carousell x IKEA Rewards Programme!

    Listing reward:

    The first 300 users who list on Carousell Singapore a secondhand, Carousell Protection-enabled IKEA listing each month will be entitled to a SGD$5 Carousell Protection promo code. Listings have to be listed in the categories of furniture such as sofa, bed frames and mattresses, tables and sets, chairs, shelves, cabinets, ranks and outdoor furniture.

    Successful order reward:

    For every successful Carousell Protection order of an eligible secondhand IKEA listing on Carousell Singapore, the seller will receive SGD$5 worth of IKEA Family points (500 IKEA Family points), capped up to 3 successful orders per month.

    The rewards programme is open for everyone! As long as you have a Singapore's Carousell account or/and a IKEA Family membership account, you're all set to be part of our rewards programme!

  3. What do I earn from the Carousell x IKEA Rewards Programme?

    Listing reward:

    The first 300 users who list a secondhand, Carousell Protection-enabled IKEA listing each month will be entitled to a SGD$5 Carousell Protection promo code. Listings have to be listed in the categories of furniture such as sofa, bed frames and mattresses, tables and sets, chairs, shelves, cabinets, ranks and outdoor furniture.

    Successful order reward:

    Earn SGD$5 worth of IKEA Family points (500 IKEA Family points) for every successful Carousell Protection order of an eligible secondhand IKEA listing on Carousell Singapore, capped up to 3 successful orders per month.

  4. How do I receive the rewards?

    To receive Listing reward:

    • The reward will be sent to your email that is registered with Carousell within 30 days after the order was made.

    To receive Successful order reward:

    • You will receive a Carousell's in-app chat function message within 30 days after the order is completed and successful.
    • Within 7 days of receiving the message, you must submit your valid IKEA Family membership number in the online Google form communicated by Carousell via Carousell’s in-app chat function to qualify for the reward
    • IKEA Family points will be issued within 2 weeks after you submitted the online Google form.
  5. How do I redeem my rewards?

    The Carousell Protection promo code can be used to offset your next Carousell Protection order. Simply apply the unique promo code during checkout on Carousell.

    Every 500 IKEA Family points allows you to deduct $5 from your next in-store purchase instantly when you checkout in any IKEA stores using your IKEA Family membership card.

  6. Do the rewards expire?

    Yes, the rewards have an expiry.

    Listing reward:

    Each unique Carousell Protection promo code is only valid for 30 days from the date of promo code received, no min. spend & for one-time usage only.

    Successful order reward:

    Points will expire 2 years later on 31 Dec from the year in which the IKEA Family points are issued. For example, points earned on 15 Jun 2022 will expire on 31 Dec 2024.

  7. Can I earn the rewards for orders made prior to the launch?

    No, only eligible Carousell Protection-enabled IKEA listing & successful Carousell Protection IKEA orders made between 0000hrs, 22 July 2022 to 2359hrs, 22 October 2022 (both dates inclusive) will be able to earn the rewards.

  8. Is there a limit to how many times I can earn the rewards?

    Yes, there's a cap for each of the reward.

    Listing reward:

    Each user can only be rewarded a maximum of 1 Carousell Protection-enabled IKEA listing per month, only first 300 users per month are eligible.

    Successful order reward:

    Each seller can only be rewarded up to a maximum of 3 successful Carousell Protection IKEA orders per month per Carousell account and IKEA Family account.

  9. Is there a minimum spend to qualify for this Rewards Programme?

    No. As we're all about driving circularity, we're all about championing usage of secondhand too! Even if you're giving away your items for free, you will still be eligible for the both rewards if you meet the criteria.

  10. Is there an expiry to when this Rewards Programme will end?

    Yes, the Rewards Programme is available from 0000hrs, 22 July 2022 to 2359hrs, 22 October 2022 (both dates inclusive).

  11. If the order is cancelled/refunded, am I still eligible to earn the reward(s)?

    If your Carousell Protection-enabled IKEA listing falls under the eligible categories, you can earn a SGD$5 Carousell Protection promo code. However, for all order that are cancelled/refunded, you will not be eligible to earn the SGD$5 worth of IKEA Family points (500 IKEA Family points).

  12. What is Carousell Protection?

    Carousell Protection is an in-app payment feature that allows payment for items bought on Carousell through the supported payment methods.

  13. How do I enable Carousell Protection?
  14. Will I qualify for the reward is if I am selling a secondhand IKEA item on Carousell, but it's not a Carousell Protection-enabled listing?

    To be eligible for the rewards programme, you will need to enable Carousell Protection for the listing.

  15. What option would I need to select under the delivery method in order to earn the rewards?

    Both ‘delivery’ and ‘meet up with Carousell Protection’ options under the delivery method during check out are eligible to earn the rewards.

  16. Are there any delivery services provided when I shop in Carousell?

    No, there isn't any delivery services provided at the moment. Sellers and buyers can discuss on the arrangement of courier / delivery services if neccessary.

Listing Reward

  1. What are the criterias to earn the listing reward?

    Listing has to fulfill the following criterias:

    • Only secondhand Carousell Protection-enabled IKEA listings created between 0000hrs, 22 July 2022 to 2359hrs, 22 October 2022 (both dates inclusive) and are not deleted or suspended withing 24hours of posting on Carousell Singapore will be eligible for this Promotion.
    • Only Carousell Protection-enabled IKEA listing(s) with IKEA product(s) and the word 'IKEA' in listing title on Carousell Singapore will be qualify. Kindly note that Carousell and IKEA retain the right to reject any product listing that is not eligible.
    • Only Carousell Protection-enabled IKEA listing listed in the categories of furniture such as sofa, bed frames and mattresses, tables and sets, chairs, shelves, cabinets, ranks and outdoor furniture is eligible.
  2. Why have I not received my $5 Carousell promo code?

    Please check your junk or spam folder. If you have not received it within 30 days, this means that you are not eligible for the reward. If there are any issues / questions, you can drop us a direct message via Carousell Facebook or Carousell Instagram.

  3. What do I do if I haven't received the Carousell Protection promo code via email?

    Please check your spam/junk folder. If you have not received it within 45 days, this means that you are not eligible for the reward. If there are any issues / questions, you can drop us a direct message via Carousell Facebook or Carousell Instagram DM.

  4. Can I use my Carousell Protection promo code on any listing type on Carousell?

    No, the Carousell Protection promo code is only applicable for Carousell Protection listings and the payment has to be done via Carousell Protection.

  5. Is the Carousell Protection promo code transferrable?

    The Carousell Protection promo code is non-transferrable & is valid for one-time use only.

  6. What if the item I have listed is a true IKEA item, but the listing title does not include the word 'IKEA'? Will I still be eligible for the listing reward?

    No, you will not be eligible for the reward programme. Only Carousell Protection-enabled listing with the word 'IKEA' in listing title will be rewarded.

    Seller has fulfill the following criterias:

  2. What do I do if I haven't received the Google form from Carousell?

    Please double check your Carousell's in-app chat inbox. If you have not received it within 30 days after your order has been completed, you may drop us a direct message via Carousell Facebook or Carousell Instagram account.

  3. How do I know if I have received my IKEA Family points?

    You can log in to your member portal at: https://family.ikea.com.sg/ to view your IKEA Family points upon submission of online google form communicated by Carousell via Carousell's in-app chat function after 2 weeks.

  4. What if I have not received my IKEA Family points after 2 weeks upon submission of online Google form communicated by Carousell?

    Please drop Carousell a direct message via Carousell Facebook or Carousell Instagram account.

  5. Why have I not received my payment for the order?

    You will receive payment once the buyers mark the order as complete by tapping on 'Order received' on Carousell after receiving the item.

  6. Why are you asking for my IKEA Family membership number?

    Your order has successfully fulfilled all criterias for the rewards programme, where as a seller you will earn SGD$5 worth of IKEA Family points (500 IKEA Family points). IKEA will require your IKEA Family membership number in order to issue the points to your account.

  7. What if I do not have an IKEA Family membership?

    If you do not have an IKEA Family membership, you can sign up here: https://family.ikea.com.sg/registration

  8. Can I use my family members' IKEA Family membership to earn my rewards?

    Yes, however only a maximum of 3 successful Carousell Protection IKEA orders per month will be rewarded for each IKEA Family account.
