  1. Terms and Conditions

    This IKEA Family Do Good with Points (“Event”) is organised by Ikano Pte Ltd (“IKEA”) and National Council of Social Service (“NCSS”). By participating in this Event, each Participant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions below. Any questions or queries regarding the event can be sent to dogoodwithpoints.sg@ikano.asia.

    1. This event will run from 24 July 2023 to 23 July 2024 (both dates inclusive).
    2. For greater clarity in relation to the Event:
      1. 'Pledged points' is when an IKEA Family member pledges their points, but the points have not been deducted from their account yet.
      2. 'Donation' is the monetary donation that IKEA will donate towards your selected Social Services Agencies and/or community funds through Community Chest.
      3. 'Successful donation' is when a member’s Pledged Points have been deducted from their account, and Donation has been made.
      4. 'Unsuccessful donation' is when a member’s Pledged Points were insufficient to be deducted from their IKEA Family account. Hence, none of the Pledged Points were deducted and there is neither partial nor full Donation made.
    3. All IKEA Family members with a valid IKEA Family account in Singapore, and have 500 or more points in their account will be able to pledge and donate their points at the value starting of 500 points = $5. 100% of donations will be made towards your selected Social Service Agencies and/or community funds, through Community Chest.
    4. Points can be donated in denominations of 500 ($5), 1,000 ($10), 2,000 ($20) and 3,000 ($30).
    5. Only the following Social Service Agencies and/or community funds are available for donation through pledged points during 24 July 2023 to 23 July 2024 (both dates inclusive):
      1. Children-At-Risk Empowerment Association (CARE Singapore)
      2. Goh Chok Tong Enable Fund (administered by SG Enable)
      3. Samaritans of Singapore Limited (SOS)
      4. Willing Hearts
    6. Pledging of points can only be made by IKEA Family members via their account in the IKEA Family website.
    7. Donations will be deemed successful when the pledged points have been deducted from your IKEA Family account. IKEA will donate the sum to Community Chest and the monetary donation will be distributed to your selected Social Service Agencies and/or community funds by Community Chest.
    8. All pledged points will be processed on the last day of the month and points will be deducted from the member’s account within the first 5 – 7 business days of the following month. A notification will be sent via your registered email address. e.g. If you made a pledge between 1st July 2023 to 31th July 2023, your IKEA Family points will be deducted between 7th - 9th August 2023.
    9. You will be notified via your registered email address of successful or unsuccessful donation
    10. Multiple pledged points per month and/or towards multiple Social Service Agencies and/or community funds are allowed for this event.
    11. If you made multiple entries to pledge points in a month and have insufficient points balance in your IKEA Family account at the end of the calendar month, ALL pledges will be unsuccessful. For any change of mind of pledged points, you may cancel within 48 hours here. After that, no cancellations can be made.
    12. Donations are non-refundable nor exchangeable for cash.
    13. Donation of IKEA Family points are not applicable for tax deductions in Singapore.
    14. Community Chest will not receive any personal information about donors.
    15. All existing IKEA Family Programme T&Cs apply. For more information, please visit here.
    16. In the event of any dispute, decisions made by IKEA Family will be final and no correspondence will be entertained.

    1. I do not have an IKEA Family membership in Singapore. Can I still make a pledge for donation?
    2. No, you will need to be an IKEA Family member and have 500 or more points in your account in order to make a pledge for donation.

    3. What's the value of my IKEA Family points for donation?
    4. For every 500 IKEA Family points, $5 will be donated towards your selected Social Service Agencies and/or community funds through Community Chest.

    7. What's the minimum and maximum IKEA Family points that I can pledge for donation?
    8. A minimum of 500 IKEA Family points is required in order to make a pledge. Points can be pledged in denominations of 500 ($5), 1,000 ($10), 2,000 ($20) and 3,000 ($30).     1. Can I pledge more than 3,000 IKEA Family points?
    2. Yes, you can! You can make multiple pledges via the 'Donation pledge' page in a month.

      Do take note that if you made multiple pledges in a month and have insufficient points balance in your IKEA Family account at the end of the calendar month, ALL pledges will be unsuccessful. No points will be deducted from your IKEA Family account and no monetary donations will be made towards your Social Service Agencies and/or community funds through Community Chest. You will be notified via your registered email address.

    3. Can I pledge to more than 1 Social Service Agencies and/or community funds with my IKEA Family points?
    4. Yes. You can pledge to more than 1 Social Service Agencies and/or community funds as long as you have enough IKEA Family points.

    5. How do I check the list of Social Service Agencies and/or community funds that I have pledged for?
    6. You can check your pledge history by login in your IKEA Family Account via the web portal - under “Donations” on the left panel, click “My pledges”.

    7. Can I cancel my pledged points?
    8. You may withdraw any pledges made within 48 hours here. No cancellations can be made after 48 hours. All pledged points are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

    9. How do I know if my pledge is successful?
    10. All pledged points will be processed on the last day of the month and points will be deducted from your account within the first 5 – 7 business days of the following month. You will be notified via your registered email address.

      e.g.
      If you made a pledge between 1st July 2023 to 31th July 2023, your IKEA Family points will be deducted between 7th - 9th August 2023.

      IKEA will donate the sum to Community Chest and the monetary donation will be distributed to your selected Social Service Agencies and/or community funds by Community Chest.

    11. Why is my pledge unsuccessful?
    12. Pledged points will be deemed unsuccessful if you have insufficient IKEA Family points upon deduction. If you made multiple pledges in a month and have insufficient points balance in your IKEA Family account, ALL pledges will be unsuccessful.

      No points will be deducted from your IKEA Family account and no monetary donations will be made towards your selected Social Service Agencies and/or community funds through Community Chest. You will be notified via your registered email address.

    13. What do I do if my pledge is unsuccessful?
    14. If you have 500 or more points in your IKEA Family account, you may make a pledge again via the 'Donation Pledge' page.

    15. I did not receive the email on my pledged points / cancellation / donation. What do I do?
    16. If you do not see the email in your inbox, kindly check your spam / junk mail folder. You may contact dogoodwithpoints.sg@ikano.asia if you still did not receive an email.

    1. What is Community Chest? What is the difference between NCSS and Community Chest?
    2. As the hallmark of care and share, Community Chest has been uniting the community to fundraise and serve those in need, since 1983.

      Community Chest is the philanthropy and engagement arm of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), which is the national co-ordinating body for social service agencies in Singapore.

      Community Chest supports more than 100 social service agencies and over 200 programmes to meet underserved, critical social needs. As our fundraising and operating costs are covered mainly by Tote Board, 100% of your contributions goes towards empowering the lives of:
      - Adults with disabilities
      - Children with special needs and youth-at-risk
      - Families in need of assistance
      - Individuals facing a crisis, thinking about or affected by suicide.
      - Seniors in need of support
